The Hoover Law Group was successful in the case of In Re: S.O. in assisting a Japanese national in obtaining her U.S. Citizenship. The case was tricky because, due to her profession as a professional musician, the client did not have any fingerprints. After many fingerprint scans and print cards made for USCIS, USCIS refused to allow her to sit for the citizenship ceremony after she passed the English and History and Civics tests. (The client qualified to have the English test waived but still refused to do so as she wanted to prove she was ready to become a U.S. Citizen. She passed the test 100%.) The lead attorney, Mr. Hoover, with much tenacity fought hard with the director of the local district of USCIS and the client was allowed into the ceremony and became a U.S. Citizen.
